I lie awake at night and think of what's lost
and gone
FOREVER.
tears of lament, grief
they hit the pillow for what you've taken
and will not return
You took ME
that night
and now there's little left
to recognize what was ME
all the love that circled around me
and now I'll never know
what it is to TRUST
You took my gift
and I died that night
