you seem to believe that
beauty is best presented
through a screen of tears.
adulation of the cruelest kind.
yes.
yet i abide with it; an
old friend by association.
too familiar and much unwilling
to venture into the unknown.
and do you know how
it came to be?
this is its genesis;
suffocation, savagery, and
mutilation.
all that remains now
is to detest each fiber;
every sinew, in quiet
devastation.
