Consider checking out Dancing
With The Devil (known as Living With the Devil in the UK) by Amy Norman. It is, I hear, a powerful book on domestic
violence, including partner rape. I would like to get my hands on a copy of it, which shouldn't be too easy right now as I'm in
United States.
"My goals for writing Dancing with the Devil were to give those living with violence the chance to realise that there
is hope, and the opportunity to move onto a better life, even though at the time there seems little or no hope at all. I
also wanted to reach those who don't understand it at all and hopefully wipe out some of the myths that still exist in the
minds of so many." ~ Amy Norman
Point Last Seen is a new book by Ricky Hunter telling the story of her abduction at the age of 5 by a pedophile, and
of her experiences with domestic violence. Check it out!
Living Nightmares of Abuse is a book by Phyllis Benton which deals with her experiences of child sexual abuse, abuse in
the foster care system, and an abusive relationship which included partner rape. Consider checking it out!
Conquest: Sexual Violence and American Indian Genocide is an EXCELLENT book by Andream Smith which analyzes the
colonial roots of violence against American Indian/Native American women. I recently finished reading the book and highly
recommend it.
