UPDATES AND OVERHAUL COMING SOON - Hello all! It has been a very long time, hasn't it? I took 18 months time away from survivor activism and from healing even, and it has paid off. I'm the healthiest and happiest I've ever been. I certainly hadn't forgot the site however. I will over time give the site a new look and better organization, as well as add new information. I won't be able to give the site the constant attention I used to give it, but you will see updates again! :) - Annaleigh

I am extremely proud to tell you that my friend Louise of Aphrodite Wounded has a book that is being released in September 2006. Real Rape, Real Pain is an internationally based healing book serving women survivors of partner rape by men. Visit PartnerRapeBook.org for all the info on the book!

In the book Unlocking the Secrets, author Victorious Heart tells her story. She says the following about her book: " I have written this book for both male and female survivors of Ritual Abuse. This is my story in chronological order of what I can remember about my life and the abuse. The back portion of the book is a small workbook for the survivor to write in along with a journal. I am 36 yrs old now, a published author and free of all my abuse. My wish is that you too can be free of all your abuse." Consider checking out her book! Click the jacket for ordering info.

Hope For A New Day is a new devotional book by Pastor Todd R. Cook, who wrote Hope For the Brokenhearted. The intent of the book is to keep you focused on God, and reaching towards your healing, rather than any despair. Email Pastor Todd for more information!

Invisible Girls was written by Patti Feuereisen for young girls and women to deal and make sense of sexual abuse. The following has been said about the book: "Written by a psychotherapist, this book sets personal narratives within a generalized discussion of sexual abuse of girls and young women. Feuereisen addresses myths about female sexuality and abuse, considers contributing family dynamics, and offers advice on preventing, reporting, and recovering from abuse. Individual chapters are given to father-daughter incest, other incest, abuse by teachers and clergy, and different types of rape. The writing is clear and frank, including sufficient details without becoming salacious." For more info on the book in addition to other resources, visit GirlThrive.

Twilight Children is a look into a children's psych ward from the point of view of the therapist. We see the psychological impact of child abuse, and I was astounded at how amazingly well Hayden described trauma to her young patients!

Living With the Enemy by Donna Ferrato is a photojournalist's look at domestic violence on a very intimate level. Here's what she says about the book: "It's a book of photographs and text which I wrote - well the whole thing is my work from riding with the cops, living in shelters, hospitals, prisons...I wanted to walk in the shoes of people who were having problems with domestic violence. I think it's a problem we don't need to have and we can do something about - but we need to get educated and conscious about the effects of the cycle of violence."

Anastasia and the Ghostly Owl (The Choice Was Hers!) is a book by Anita E. Wladichuk which is meant to inspire abuse survivors and anyone suffering unfair adversity. Of the book, Anita says, "This story is about hope, overcoming obstacles, and making choices in the face of adversity. More concretely, it is about child abuse and how the protagonist, a young girl named Anastasia, comes to terms with it." The book is based Anita's life. Check it out!

Dusk At Dawn, by D.M. Coleman, deals with one girl's journey in healing from terrible sexual abuse. Please check out the site. Parts of proceeds from each book are donated to the fight to stop child abuse.
