Hi everybody! School is back in session for the fall, so at times it may be hard for me

Arrrgh...it appears I have work to do before the big move! It will get done though. I expect to finish the support group
section first, and then I will begin the painstaking work of going through all the HTML files to be sure there are no empty
HTML files on my hard drive for this site when I move. Guh. Can you tell I'm looking forward to it? LOL, you all have a great

Again, I apologize for the lack of updates. I just went through midterms, an anniversary, and some other complicated stuff
that has pulled me away from this site. I'm in one of those moods where I feel like pulling an all nighter and doing some
stuff around here, so keep a watchful eye. As much as I hate to do it, I will probably be changing site hosts from Yahoo (due
to merger with Microsoft) to Bravenet. The domain will be changing (hopefully to aswaterspassingby.org ) I expect to secure
the domain and make the changes 2 weeks from now. If you currently link to me and I know about it, I will be emailing you
when I make the change. And unlike the last move I made, the site will be at this host and the new one at the same time
for about 3 weeks so that everyone has a chance to make the changes. *Also* I am excited to announce that when I have a job
and have extra income, I will be founding a website devoted entirely to providing webspace and assistance to survivor and
activists looking to speak out on the web. Keep an eye out!

Hi! Hi apologize for the lack of updates. I am still working on the support group section of the site, it's coming along
nicely; it's just that I had to put it down for a couple of days. :) I also have purchased a couple more books for the site's
library. I will let you know when the support group section is up and going!

Good morning! The update fairy has had a bit of time here and there, so I am still updating regularly, little bits and pieces
of information. In addition to the teeny things I am adding right now, such as links, I am currently working on a section
just for everybody on online support groups. I am compiling many links to supportive message boards, mailists and chat. I am
also compiling a dictionary of terms and acronyms used in these groups you may not be familiar with, and also some suggestions
on how to find one that will work for you (I used to help moderate a mailist group, so I know a bit). Have a great day, and

Wow, we've passed 2000 hits with this counter! That's actually about 4000 total hits since I've been keeping counters on the
main page. May we have 4000 more! Anyway, I'm going to be doing a few small updates today. Also, here's a heads up: Sometime,
hopefully soon, I will be changing the host of the the blog/news article archive to a new host, LiveJournal. I'm really tired
and offended that the Google ads GreatestJournal places on abuse related blogs usually include ads for defense attorneys.
As survivors you deserve more than to be callously triggered that way. So as much I wasn't sure I wanted to do it, I will be
setting up an account with LJ, and if it becomes appropriate, I will consider making it a paid account.

Hi everybody! Unfortunately I'm going to be on hiatus until about the first of the month. My computer died nearly a week ago, and I will not be able to buy my brand spanking new one until October 1st. It may also take me a little while until I get this entire site downloaded to my new harddrive. Till then, please feel free to explore the resources, or to email me (altho I may take a little while to respond...right now I only can get on the computer when I'm going to my World Religion class, or I'm at the library. Yesterday I went to one of my passions, the library's occasional "buck-a-bag" sale. :) Among the
books I came away with, I got Fat, Stupid, Ugly, which is one woman's account of abuse.
It should help with my research.

8/25/2005 (something nice to share!):
Many of you know that out of the Notable Survivors listed on this site , I am most of all a fan
of Dave Mustaine (click to read his story) the lead singer of
Megadeth. Recently Dave apologized & asked for forgiveness for some of the mean things he's said on stage or interviews
when he was younger, and often drunk. I sent him an email (I do this every 3 weeks or so, hehe)
and gently reminded him of the mean things he's said about heavier women in interviews and
whatnot, and how it made me feel back when I was a teenager reading his interviews. I told him he was
forgiven, and I was proud of his personal growth. Here was his reply to me (short because he's a
busy man!)
"Thanks and don't worry about who you are. You are who you are. :-)
DSM"
It's so good to see him grow and mature and come into his own...shedding some of that anger in
him that were ignited by his being abused and other hardships. He really is a wonderful person.

*sigh* Well, it has been a very up and down couple of weeks or so for me. There have been some
personal revelations regarding my CSA; and college has started up again for me. So as you can see
I have been incredibly busy. I do plan to make as many updates I can in between life and academia,
and hopefully tomorrow I should be ready to share something really nice with you guys, but first
I have to get through my last day this week of classes on campus...then it's officially the weekenddddd. Yeah.

Well kiddies, the Update Fairy got completely sidetracked by MySpace last night and this morning. She spent all night editing
her profile. *rolleyes* Oh well, it's given me some good ideas, like starting a MySpace account
for this site. (I'll elaborate when I've had some sleep). And my darling Mimi knocked down
a signficant portion of my music collection down to the floor. Will I get something done around here
today? I hope so, but I dunno. I can tell this is gonna be a helluva day.

they deal with sexual abuse, but also deal with other topics, like PTSD, body image, and my
personal favorite, art therapy.

I knew was murdered this past weekend. It has been hard to deal with it, as you can imagine.

As you can see, the new look of this site is complete! *snoopy dance* Because there is a survivor
site out there called Crushed Roses, I have chosen to change the name of the site to
As Waters Passing By instead. Now that phase one (changing the site's name and look) of the
changes is complete, I will start phase two, which will be to post whatever updates there are to
the current sections. I hope you're enjoying the new look. I think it's pretty! ;)

UPDATES FORTHCOMING: Hi everybody! I have just finished the Spring semester of college,
and though I am planning to take a Summer school class, I am planning on doing some work around
this place! I need to take a good look at what needs to be fixed, and then update it. Keep an eye out!
2/1/2005:
MOVING SOON: I am planning on obtaining a new domain sometime today. I'm not sure just
yet what the domain name will be, but as soon as I do know, you all will be told! Rest assured I
will not cancel this current domain until the move has been completed and you have been informed
about it.
FUNDRAISING BOUTIQUE IDEA: I am currently hatching a plot to start up a Cafepress boutique
to raise funds for the Jamison Center
in Bakersfield, California. Specifically, we would be selling products such as t-shirts, buttons, teddy bears, etc.
created, managed and shipped by Cafepress, but designed by us. Ideas for designs would come from local & outside
survivor artists, poets, and writers. While the Jamison Center doesn't accept cash donations,
they do accept things such as children's clothing, toys, and games, that can be purchased and
mailed to Bakersfield with the funds raised through the boutique. I will be speaking to a few survivor artists, and should
know in about 3 weeks time whether this is what we want to do.
